MentorLink Around the World: Focus on India

Our partners in India have been sharing all of the exciting things the Lord is doing in and through them this year, and we are delighted to share them with you!

One of our partners, Sam Sunder Singh, recently held a Leader’s Covenant seminar at K.K. Nagar. Participants were receptive and responded well. Despite weather disruptions, the eager participants had in depth discussions and used the quiet time provided as an opportunity to recall and think of their covenant with the Lord.

Sam has trainings planned for Pondicherry, Kaancheepuram, Sirkazi, Koovathur, Maduranthagam, Pattabiram, Hyderabad, and Delhi by the end of this year. He says, “God is giving me a lot of openings and also providing through MentorLink to conduct these seminars. We are praying to conduct a total of 25 Leader’s Covenant seminars by the end of the year, and then begin with Passing it On! in 2023. Please pray that God’s name alone be glorified and His Kingdom be built through all our combined efforts.”

In a different Indian state, Koki and Johnny Desai have been using Zoom to minister as their health has precluded travel. They have led lay counseling basic training with 19 women, lay counseling advanced training with 23 women, trauma intervention training with 25 women participating, and a trauma healing retreat with 44 women participating.

Additionally, they have led trauma intervention training with Evangelical Mission men and women missionaries, trauma intervention in Hindi for Kennect Foundation’s workers, marriage and family enrichment sessions for r70 couples of Evangelical of India Women Commission, a session on Women’s role in God’s Mission for IEM Central India Women’s Conference, in Hindi, and a weekly mentoring Bible study with 20 minutes.

Will you pray for these partners in India, as they seek to serve and encourage as many as they can with their online and in-person ministries?
