“I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend your works to another and shall declare your mighty acts.” -Psalm 145:1-4
This reminder is so important for us as we continue through this season of disease and lockdowns and turmoil where thankfulness is not always our first response. Scripture is full of individuals who experienced trials and difficulties and still learned to “praise in the storm.” We at MentorLink desire to share with you the updates we receive from partners who follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ. One such story is this:
Ntoko Tongo, one of our partners in Togo, who, after a year of separation due to COVID, was able to host a Passing it On! training in his home with three other pastors. Passing it On! involves specific training of leaders in their ministry to become more like Christ and teaches them to study how He led and taught His disciples.
“This was a time of great encouragement. Praise the Lord for the excitement and understanding these pastors now have for mentoring.”
Praise God for His perfect timing, even (and especially) when it does not line up with our own plans. His ways are higher! May we extol Him and praise His name forever and ever!
