Changing Hearts and Minds Through Mentoring

Jesus was no stranger to hate and prejudice. He told His disciples, in John 15,

“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

Bosco Ruhinda is also no stranger to the effects of hate and prejudice. He grew up in a refugee camp because of the Rwandan genocide, but it has not hindered him from a life that radiates the love of Christ. Bosco, a graduate of MentorLink Institute, facilitates mentor groups that focus on teaching the attitudes and actions modeled by Jesus, bringing down the dividing walls of hostility brought about by the genocide. One of the mentor groups he leads consists of government leaders!

MentorLink Institute groups together mentors and mentees from around the world. The free materials, shown here, offer instruction on effective Christian leadership, building God’s kingdom, servant leadership, community, intentionality, and grace-filled environments. God is so good! He brings beauty out of the ashes and we are so thankful to hear amazing stories like Bosco’s to attest to His faithfulness!
