Leading Like Jesus

A Call to Servanthood

Jesus called them together and said, “…whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to be a ransom for many.” – Matthew 20:26-28

A Character and Heart Focus

Jesus’ leadership model focused on character transformation. He communicated significant truth within the context of trusting relationships. He changed His followers – the future leaders of His church – from the inside-out as He lived among them.

A Mentoring Model

Jesus’ model of servant leadership was more caught than taught. He served His followers in words and deeds, lived honestly, transparently and joyfully, sharing His heart and life. The apostles followed Jesus’ model – investing as freely in others as He had invested in them.

The Result

Intentional, exponential growth of Kingdom leaders for an expanding Kingdom movement.
